Planting food forests

Why planting a forest ?

Planting a forest
  • to bring biodiverstiy back to our landscapes
  • to regenerate wastelands
  • to feed the people
  • to contribute to a more beautiful world.

Mitigating climate disruption

Natural forests are disappearing, many animals and plants are becoming extinct. Planting trees helps to:

  • Sequester CO2, produce oxygen and store carbon
  • Provide habitat for biodiversity
  • Reduce flooding and erosion
  • Improve air quality
  • Regulate temperature and decrease noise level

Improving our quality of life

Whatever its size, a food forest is an oasis of beauty and well-being.

Les différents niveaux d'une forêt
  • a direct experience of nature’s gifts for young and old
  • somewhere to interact and learn together
  • a haven where to relax and restore your energy
  • a source of fresh and healthy food
  • a shelter from the summer heat
  • a way to take action on a personal level
  • an initiative to motivate the neighbourhood
  • a source of healthy food that can be shared
  • a haven for biodiversity
  • bringing life back to wastelands
  • restoring soil quality and preventing erosion
  • removing pollution particles from the air
  • creating beauty in unexpected places

Changing the world is possible

Planting a syntropic food forest is a way to recreate a dense forest ecosystem in a short span of time. It mimics the natural state of abundance that nature would eventually reach after hundreds of years without human intervention.

We are running out of time, so we must partner with nature to regenerate abundant ecosystems, applying our knowledge and ability to take action. Working together with nature, we can support and speed up the process of creating an abundant, healthy and self-sustaining ecosystem.

A more beautiful world is possible. Learn more about our initiatives or contact us to join our team.
